Ian Symingtom, National Captain
will be joining us for his customary visit to all Regions during his year in office.
Bob Williams, CEO of the GCMA
will follow with a short presentation on matters of National significance.
10:30 - 10:45 approx, the meeting will divide, with working managers taking part in the educational presentations, whilst the retired members are taken on a conducted tour of the Racecourse by Clerk of the Course, Fergus Cameron.
Our Main Educational Session for the remainder of the morning session (approx 90 mins) will be a joint presentation by
Carolyne Wahlen - Founder of GolfHR
and Nigel Illingworth of Ground2Control, who besides presentations of their own services, will also explain a collabortive venture combining both HR and H&S delivery.
Both presenters need little introduction to many members; are Official Suppliers to the GCMA covering two vital aspects of everyday club management.
Carolyne's presentation will also tie in with the afternoon mental wellbeing counselling service being launched today by headquaters in the afternoon session.
A light Lunch will be served following the conclusion of this presentation.
Afternoon Presentation:
The National Launch of the GCMA
Mental Wellbeing Counselling Service
Introduced and launched by Bob Williams, CEO GCMA
supported by Heather Mulley, Manager of Enville Golf Club and
GCMA Manager of the Year 2019
and Simon Smith, General Manager of Aston Wood Golf Club.
A new and important service available to all members with details being finalised as I write this. This webpage will be updated as these become available, please keep revisiting this page to stay up to date.
Simon will today relate "Simon's Story", a Powerpoint presentation he delivered at National Conference in November, outlining his own issues on this subject which has formed the basis for this initiative.
If you can't make the all-day meeting, you should make
every effort to attend the afternoon session, and as always bring a Board/Committee member with you, it will open your, and importantly, their eyes to the subject of
Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace. Not to be missed.
