Autumn Meeting 2021
Enville Golf Club - DY7 5BN
Thursday 7th October
commencing at 9.30 a.m.
6th Hole Highgate Course
We return to a well established favourite club in the centre of our Region, and one which always gives members a warm welcome. Enville's location provides all Regional members the opportunity to attend our final business meeting of 2021.
Your Steering Committee look forward to your support and attendance.
Tea/Coffee, biscuits & Informal Networking on arrival,
from 9:00 a.m. with a
Meeting start time of 9:30 a.m.
Since our last Autumn meeting in September 2019, a two year hiatus, delivery of regional meetings has very significantly changed, and continues to evolve. The delivery of centralised education by HQ using internet delivery, means that today we have only one speaker- full details below.
However, that speaker will be directly contributing to the meeting and means that a
meeting and lunch attendance will be free of charge, the only payment from members will be by those taking part in the second round of either the John Bissell Salver or the Captains Putter golf competition, and that will be for dinner costs only.
Following a welcome by Regional Captain Sanj Nandi, the Regional Manager, will bring you up-to-date with matters of national significance.
Wot is a Bot? - Remember this presentation at Copt Heath?
Well, Adam Smith will provide an update on this product
From last time, we had 5 clubs sign up, of which all have recorded an increase of over 250% in qualified sales enquiries.
Having consulted widely with the golf club sector, to understand where their pain lies in generating new members and function sales, EnquiryBot gained a golden nugget : A shortage of Time.
During lockdown, EnquiryBot re-designed the sales enquiry management dashboard, specifically for the golf industry, to help automate tasks, emails and follow-ups, which help club managers save time, whilst systemising their sales department.
It's a game changer for golf club managers and Adam will explain how you could gain valuable insights into how you're managing prospects, replying to them, and then converting them into revenue.
If you have a Director/Committee person with responsibility for marketing/recruitment/alternative income, you may wish to invite them to this presentation.
Adam has produced a 5 minute video which you can view
here - Well worth a watch
The morning will then be turned over to a 'speed dating' (no I've never done that either) type of forum, where around a series of tables, with each table having a mediator, varying topics will be openly discussed.
This will be followed by a final collective networking session which will bring these threads together and will form part of the delivery by the regional steering group to regional members next year.
Lunch: soup & sandwiches around 12.15 p.m.
Afternoon golf : 1st tee 1.00p.m.
An individual Stableford competition, full handicap allowance, with your score being combined with results from the AGM/Spring Meeting, with the top working manager being awarded the Bissell Salver, whilst the leading retired manager will receive the Captains Putter.
Following the first round, both competitions are wide open, a good round today could secure you the appropriate prestigious trophy
A 2 course evening meal will be served for those playing golf
