The Vice-Captain (second from the right) makes a further investment.

A most successful day enjoyed by all who attended. We enjoyed an English summer’s day at its best with wonderful weather, an excellent golf course in fine condition and a degree of warm hospitality on the part of both the Club and our Captain that is very much appreciated. Thank-you to all concerned.

Another guest loses her shackles

The next match will be against the East Midlands Region on 24 July when we look for success after some patchy results in recent years.

The last match of the season will be the annual fixture against Wales on 7 October. Further details will appear in future Newsletters.

Midland Bowl on 16 September at Little Aston Golf Club.

It is still not too late to claim a place in this event whether it is by entering a team of four or by entering individually. We always intended that this event should be for Midland Regional members primarily, but we have had little difficulty in the past in filling spare places from other Regions. “IT IS YOUR EVENT PLEASE SUPPORT IT”.

Autumn Meeting

The Autumn Meeting of the Region will be held on 25 September at Copt Heath Golf Club where the cumulative trophies from the Spring meeting will be in play. Further details will be available in the near future. Please support us on the day.

This month’s golfer is not difficult to recognize so no hints “of which there are an almost endless supply” are necessary and I have blurred his head so let’s see if you can identify the style.
