Another splendid win for the Region, taking the match 4 - 2 against a determined East Midlands team, but one which found the home side in even better form. For the first time in many years, the team included a Lady working Secretary, Pamela Booth-Jones, from Shifnal GC, who partnered our Vice-Captain Tom Duke in the top match, and came away with a very satisfying 6 and 4 win!

All present took the opportunity to express their condolences to our Captain Ivan Taylor, on the sad loss of his wife, Marguerite recently, and although Ivan didn't play, he was able to attend for a 'meet and greet' and to have lunch with all involved.  

We have to pass on our thanks to the management committee of Ingestre Park GC for permitting us to use their facilities, to the greens staff for producing a course in wonderful condition, to the caterers who provided both a simple lunch and a very good evening meal, and last but not least to Sarah Sharp, Club Manager who, as we all know, work quietly in the background, but make it all tick!
