What a fabulous afternoon in Church Stretton on one of the best days this summer! Warm sunshine, a warm welcome from the staff on duty, and a splendid buffet lunch, one which has to be considered the best we have been served all season - a small rural club, putting on the style.

For the first time this season, Regional Captain Ivan Taylor was able to attend due to personal circumstances, and eventually led the team to another win, over the always competitive S & H Captains. 

The match, as usual, was played in good spirit, but on an afternoon as it was, the weather made its contribution to a memorable afternoons golf. It was also good to see the return of members who for various reasons have found it difficult to play this year, and also to new faces, especially Peter Webber, Church Stretton Secretary, and Paul Simmonds S & H County Secretary who responded manfully to a late call for substitutes.
