This is the first time GCMA Midland Region have visited Stratford Golf Club for a regional meeting in quite a few years. Your Steering Committee look forward to your support and attendance.

Following a welcome by  Regional Captain Gareth Anthony, we will have a meeting that is aimed at the Manager / Secretary ... i.e. you

The Theme is " Bullying in the workplace" and what can we do about it! .... 

We have Carolyne Wahlen from (Golf HR) with Jerry Kilby (KandaGolf) and 

Matthew Draper ( England Golf )

How managers can protect themselves against bullying behaviour from members
What would count as bullying behaviour
What behaviour is discriminatory
How to spot a fake disciplinary and how you should deal with it
If the Club wants to get rid of the GM, what are their options
What support is available to you.

Under the broad heading of 'Effective leadership in golf clubs - volunteers and employees working together’, 

Defining roles for both employees and volunteers
Agreeing and understanding each other’s responsibilities

The day will be interactive based on small groups discussing and sharing various views and ideas 

Stratford has new caterers, so I am looking forward to lunch.

Lunch is a sit-down hot 2-course meal, again giving time to chat and discuss the various topics that are constantly hitting the desk.
